The purpose of this page is to answer some of your questions as we transition you to the Amentum family. While this page is intended to provide a broad overview of many topics that may be of interest as we begin this transition, not everything can be covered here. Additional information will be provided during Onboarding, and upon hire you will have access to our benefits website, www.oneamentumbenefits.com, and to our company's intranet site, OneJavelin, which has a direct link to Amentum policies and procedures.
In the case of a discrepancy between the plan documents and this FAQ page, the plan documents will prevail.

Once you sign your offer letter, your tentative start date with Amentum will be established. You will need to have access to a computer, smart phone or tablet outside of work hours to review documents and complete information for the onboarding process. These actions cannot be completed at the worksite, so please plan accordingly to ensure you have time to complete the new hire process.
In the Workday HR System, you will have an “Inbox” which will populate with one action at a time. You will review and acknowledge several policies and procedures, update / add personal and emergency contact information. You will also log into MyADP to complete and upload federal and state tax forms and lastly enroll in direct deposit. If you have the documentation for your taxes and direct deposit ready, the onboarding process can take as little as 45 minutes.
Amentum requires that all new employees submit federal and state tax forms, proof of banking forms, and completed direct deposit forms.

You will be eligible for Amentum benefits on your date of hire. You have thirty (30) days from your date of hire to enroll in benefits. Your coverage and payroll deductions will be retroactive to your date of hire. If you do not make elections within 30 days of your hire date for your 2026 benefits, you (and your eligible dependents) will not be covered for the remainder of 2026 unless you experience a qualifying Life Changing Event, (e.g., birth of a child, marriage, divorce, or other qualifying event).
You can enroll in benefits (medical, dental, supplemental life, flexible spending accounts, etc.) online at www.oneamentumbenefits.com or by phone with an Amentum Benefits Service Center representative at 844-705-4099, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 8 pm EST. Representatives are also available to chat online at www.oneamentumbenefits.com, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm EST. Your onboarding package will contain additional benefits information to guide you through the enrollment process. The enrollment site will become available to you within 2-3 days of your hire date.
Yes, your spouse and children are considered eligible dependents under the Amentum benefits plans.
Yes. To complete the enrollment of your dependents, you will need to provide proof of dependent eligibility within 30 days of making your elections. Before you begin your enrollment, you should gather your marriage certificate (for spouse) and/or birth certificate(s) (for child(ren)) OR a recent (within the prior 2 years) IRS Form 1040 which lists all your dependents. You will be able to upload those documents at the end of the enrollment process.
Depending upon how quickly you enroll and make your benefit selections during the 30-day enrollment will determine when the payroll deductions will begin. Payroll benefit deductions for employee only will begin within three pay periods. Since your coverage begins on your date of hire, you are responsible for benefits deductions retroactive to your date of hire. For any pay periods that did not have benefits deductions withheld, you will have a paycheck with a double deduction. It is recommended that you enroll promptly within the 30-day enrollment window to minimize the retroactive amount due.
If you are enrolling eligible dependents in any Amentum offered benefit plan, e.g. medical, dental, and vision, these dependents must be verified and approved by Businessolver. Dependent premium payments should begin within three pay periods AFTER Businessolver has approved your dependents. Premium deductions for qualified and approved dependents will be retro-active to your date of hire and are referred to as “catch up” deductions.
Once all benefit elections and dependents have been approved by Businessolver, catch up deductions, retroactive to your date of hire will occur until the premiums are paid in full, in addition to the normal weekly deductions.
How to reduce the amount of “catch-up” deductions: Enroll and provide all the required dependent documentation at the time of the benefit enrollment within the first week of the contract change over. Gather the documents now, which can be marriage certificate, birth certificates, or a recent (within 2 years) IRS Form 1040 that reflects all eligible dependents and have them ready in advance.
Benefits at a Glance (BAAG) handouts will be distributed. These will provide you with a high-level overview of your Amentum benefits. Your personalized benefits and costs will be available to you by logging into www.oneamentumbenefits.com at enrollment time so you can make an informed decision regarding plans offered and costs.
Yes. All US-based employees may participate in Amentum’s 401(k) plan with Fidelity.
Employees are eligible for a company matching contribution of 50% of the first 6% contributed. Please note that Amentum does not match age 50+ catch-up contributions.
If you are an Amentum employee, you will be automatically enrolled with a 3% pre-tax contribution. You will receive information from Fidelity and you will have 30 days to opt-out or change the contribution rate before it is effective.
To make an election or change an automatic enrollment, please contact Fidelity Investments at www.netbenefits.com or by phone at 800-835-5095, from 8 am to 8 pm EST.
You will need to contact your prior employer’s 401(k) provider to obtain the necessary information needed to rollover your funds into Amentum’s 401(k) plan. Once you terminate employment with your current employer, their 401(k)-plan provider will send you information regarding your distribution options. After completing the appropriate paperwork with Amentum’s 401(k) provider, you then need to contact Fidelity to receive a rollover contribution form that must accompany the rollover check to the Amentum 401(k) plan. Fidelity can be reached at 800-835-5095, from 8 am to 8 pm EST.
