Amentum is seeking an organized professional who enjoys interfacing with acquisition communities and who's competent in organizing effective procurement solutions.

Acquisition Analyst Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing direct support to the Submarine Acoustics, Towed Systems Acquisition Manager and Contracting Officer’s Representatives (COR) in the areas of procurement and contracting.

  • Monitoring program execution by appropriation and performer; developing and maintaining program analyses and tracking databases; and generating reports, correspondence, and documentation.

  • Providing Contract Lead and management support, including preparation, review, analysis and maintenance of Procurement Requests, Technical Instructions (TI), contract Statements of Work, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL), Standard Procurement System support, input to contract modifications and briefings, and responses to data calls.

  • Participating in meetings on matters pertaining to Navy contract management or execution, Integrated Product Team meetings, and Program Status Reviews

  • Maintaining contract files; tracks Periods of Performance; monitors Contract Line Item Number totals

  • Analyzes Contractor Funds and Man-hour CDRL submittals  

  • Coordinating Contractor Performance Report contributions and consolidation across Government functional areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent

  • Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.

  • Strong written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365

  • Contract Management knowledge

  • Professional knowledge pertaining to Defense procurement and administrative processes

  • Strong interpersonal team communication and collaboration skills

  • Strong organizational, time management, and task prioritization skills

  • May require up to 15% travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, but not mandatory. Equivalent experience (such as life, military, TSA, and other related experience) may be acceptable substitution for the degree. 

  • 5 - 7 years of job-related experience or equivalent

  • Experience with DoD Contracts, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), DOD FAR Supplement, DOD 5000 Series Directives and Instructions, and Navy Acquisition procedures

  • Standard Procurement System (SPS) experience
