Amentum is seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to provide administrative support to the environmental, safety, health, and emergency response operations at the DOE National Energy Technology Laboratory in Morgantown, WV.  This will involve working closely with federal and contractor employees, researchers, site technicians, engineers, and other ES&H professionals. 

The candidate must be energetic, have good interpersonal skills, attention to detail, excellent technical writing skills, and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. You should have high-level administrative skills and have an interest in operating in a technical assistance environment. 

In this role, the employee will be responsible for developing weekly and monthly environmental, safety, health, and emergency response status reports. Supported metrics tracking and database inputs/outputs and reviewed and revised technical support documentation and related end products. Review documents and procedures for grammatical and formatting accuracy. Assist with the documentation and tracking of inspection records as well as the tracking of corrective actions. Assist in the development and maintenance of employee training records. Act as a liaison, relaying information and documents between numerous departments and staff members. Many of the tasks will involve preparing, processing, and archiving various types of work product documentation and follow-up information.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree and at least one year of job-related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to prepare, read, and interpret complex information regarding technical matters; ability to coordinate projects from inception to completion, including review criteria, specifications, calculations, and analysis of information; ability to conduct formal presentations to site personnel and other interested individuals; ability to review programmatic documentation for technical accuracy; and the ability to present information clearly and effectively through the oral and written word.
