Amentum is currently seeking qualified Supervisor 1 at our Virginia Beach, Virigina Site.

The successful candidate will be a charismatic leader with robust communication and problem-solving skills. You will work a flexible schedule, providing coverage to ensure effective oversight during shift operations. Availability for occasional weekend hours is necessary.

Job Description:

The Maintenance Supervisor will report directly to the Site Supervisor and will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of flight schedule, ensuring they are conducted in the safest manner possible. The supervisor will have oversight over all aspects of maintenance operations, including program quality, logistics, training, analysis, and metrics.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the point of contact with GGFR and the contract while on detachment.
  • Oversee workforce in executing principles, standards, and techniques of operations, QA, GOP, aircraft maintenance, and contract requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, DOD, state, and local regulations pertaining to aircraft maintenance and environmental protection.
  • Implement strategies and metrics to track performance and apply countermeasure diagnostic tools to address gaps.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Represent Amentum with professional standards of dress, hygiene, and conduct.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 combined years of Aviation Operations Management experience in QA, ES&H, contracts, and/or Maintenance.
  • Minimum 3 years of aviation QA management.
  • Minimum 3 years of aviation ES&H management.
  • Minimum 3 years of aviation maintenance management.
  • Valid driver’s license and US Passport.
  • Proficient with office automation software (MS Windows, MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Excel).
  • Willingness to work alternate shift schedules when necessary, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be eligible to obtain / maintain a Tier 3 US Government Clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior U.S. Navy aviation experience on F/A-18 aircraft highly preferred.
  • 3 years SCA contract experience preferred.

       

Compensation Details:

$87,000 annually
