The Senior Sheet Metal Specialist is responsible for repairing and creating essential aircraft parts and fabricating custom-making metal components critical to the functioning of an aircraft.  The Senior Sheet Metal Specialist is responsible to the manager and/or production supervisor for the following, but not limited to:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Skilled in and interpreting blueprints, technical manuals, and engineering drawings,  
  • Fabricating and repairing sheet metal parts and components for aircraft.
  • Using specialized tools such as cutting, bending, and assembling metal materials.
  • Responsible for completion and accuracy of aircraft/equipment forms documentation and MIS input.
  • Accomplishes all maintenance forms required by duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license with Real ID within 30 days of employment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain site access. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain site access.
  • Must have four (4) years of maintenance experience and must include two (2) years of sheet metal experience on like assigned aircraft (DD 214 or employment record)
  • Oversees projects and handles complex repairs.
  • Knowledge of aviation safety regulations and standards.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements as stipulated in Appendix E of the CBA.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Airframe, Powerplant or Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred.

           

    Compensation Details:

    Hourly Rate: $46.83
