Position requires a skilled Aviation PMI Evaluator with the ability to perform Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot level in-depth inspection on MH-60R helicopters, which includes surface, structural, fuel cell, and major component inspections. Performs Field and Sustainment Level maintenance support/augmentation to include Maintenance Control, Quality Control, Supply Management, maintenance, inspections, and repair of aircraft to achieve the aviation maintenance mission of the RSNF PMI. Provides the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) Planned Maintenance Interval (PMI) Team with fully qualified Quality Control Specialist that has a good working knowledge of the NAMP, and the 4790.2 Will assist and train the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) on compliance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) standards, particularly in the context of Performance Management and Inspection (PMI) evaluations. Works with the RSNF PMI Team and RSNF QA work center performing Field Level maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, testing, maintenance repairs and Technical Directive compliance on the MH-60R Airframe in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

Essential Responsibilities:    

  • Responsible for completion and maintenance of applicable forms, records, and reports using appropriate references and other publications including the NAMP.

  • Provide On-the-Job-Training (OJT) for Saudi technicians and/or other personnel to include maintaining appropriate records on personnel such as Readiness Insight, ASMi, or an ASMi substitute. 

  • Inspects aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to ensure safe flying and conformance to specifications and government regulations and procedures. Oversees part installation and inspects adjustments or modifications to existing parts. Performs preflight and post flight inspections identifying any breach of standards for safe flight.

  • Assist in shop safety as well as safety in the hangar and on the flight line. 

  • Accept accountability of property for the Power Plant Shop. 

  • Maintain cleanliness and general maintenance of the associated work area. Perform cleaning, preservation, and operational maintenance work on assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment. 

  • Operate motor vehicles, machines, and other mechanical equipment in the performance of assigned duties. 

  • Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Verifiable experience maintaining aircraft.

  • We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.

  • Must be able to pass a background check, which could include a criminal history and credit check for access to Government facilities. May be required to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: 

  • 10 years current or previous experience evaluating major military aircraft inspections and or repairs to include but not limited to: 

  • Evaluation of aircraft items: airframe, power plant, accessories, equipment, and equipage under specified conditions to verify functional conformance to predetermined requirements IAW applicable directives.

  • Minimum of 10 years rotary wing experience.  

  • Evaluation of aircraft conditions to determine action required and provided aircraft condition evaluation reports.​

  • Ability to summarize, plan and estimate timeline, cost and manpower required to complete inspection/repair actions.

  • Must have knowledge of Navy and Depot level logistics support that includes repair and overhaul procedures for airframes, engines, and components. 

  • Must have knowledge in supply, maintenance, quality control, production control, and safety IAW, but not limited to COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 (series); NAVAIRINST 3710.1 (series); Navy Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP); ISO AS9100/AS9110 registrations; NAVOSH; OPNAVINST 5100.19 

  • Must have demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Must be fluent in the English language.. 

  • Must be capable of obtaining a valid light equipment operator’s license.

  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma.

Preferences: ​

  • Navy MH-60 CDQAR or QAR

  • Navy MH-60 series experience.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand Arabic is desirable.

  • FAA A&P with Inspection Authorization IA - desirable, not required.

Qualifications:

  • QAR/CDQAR, A&P license (not required if service specific quals are validated), or military equivalent such as Technical Inspector, or restricted Technical Inspector, or 7 level are required.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a NAC(T3) Background Investigation and drug test. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. May be required to obtain and maintain a secret clearance. We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.

  • May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, APU, etc.
