Amentum is seeking a dynamic and energetic Bar Manager to lead our bar operations in Williamsburg, Virginia. Job Requirements:

  • Manage daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Lead, motivate, and train bar staff to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Oversee food preparation and beverage service, ensuring quality control and consistency across all offerings.
  • Utilize POS systems for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
  • Control inventory levels through effective stock management, ordering supplies as needed to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Supervise food handling practices, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and proper kitchen management protocols.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff for food production, catering events, banquets, or special functions to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct staff training sessions focused on food safety, customer service excellence, and operational procedures.
  • Assist in budgeting processes and manage costs related to food & beverage inventory while maximizing profitability.

Minimum requirements:

  • Proven experience in restaurant or bar management within casual dining or fine dining environments.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
  • Proficiency with POS systems for efficient transaction processing.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising teams in fast-paced settings.
  • Skilled in inventory control, budgeting, and cost management within the food industry.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Experience in staff training & development, interviewing potential team members, and managing shift operations.
  • Background in hospitality management with a solid understanding of kitchen management and food handling procedures.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining operational integrity.
  • Previous hotel or catering experience is a plus; culinary or barista experience is desirable for diverse beverage offerings.
  • Government issued clearance at time of application.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

       

Compensation Details:

$95,000
