Purpose and Scope:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Analyst to ensure the reliability and performance of our IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) and integrated 3rd-party tools (EZMaxMobile, EZMaxPlanner, AKWIRE). This role is a blend of system testing, end-to-end user support, and project collaboration. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between technical developers and business users, ensuring high system integrity during critical transitions, including our MAS migration and scheduling software replacement.

Job Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

  • Testing & Validation: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for functional, regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Validate design changes and system integrations prior to deployment.
  • User Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for Maximo-related issues. Troubleshoot day-to-day errors, resolve user queries, and escalate complex technical bugs to developers or vendors.
  • Project Leadership: Support high-priority initiatives including the IBM MAS migration, EZMaxMobile deployments, and the transition from AKWIRE to new scheduling software.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with developers on system customizations and integrations. Communicate system status and outage updates to the user community.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update System Guides, User Manuals, and internal issue-tracking records to reflect current workflows and system versions.

Required Education/Certifications/Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted for degree
  • Experience: 8+ years in Software Quality Assurance or a technical support role.
  • Maximo Expertise: Proven experience testing and troubleshooting IBM Maximo and associated tools like EZMaxMobile.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in developing UAT, regression test cases and managing end-to-end resolution processes with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Communication: Strong ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users and collaborate effectively with development teams.

Preferred Education/Certifications/Experience:

  • IBM Maximo Certification or hands-on experience with Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
  • Experience with system integration concepts and reporting frameworks.
  • Background in organizational restructuring or large-scale software migrations.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain required clearances/badges as required by program and position
  • Must have the ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written in an effective manner.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards; occasional lifting to 10 pounds; constant sitting with use of computer terminal; constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents; constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication; constant mental alertness; must possess planning/organizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines. Field work will consist primarily of site walk downs in support of design projects and system trouble shooting Site hazard training and Personal Protective Equipment are provided.
