FUNCTION:
Performs repair, calibration and modification of the wide variety of complex precision measurement equipment utilized by Government of Kuwait (GOK) agencies.
This discipline includes the following measurement areas: voltage, current, power, resistance, capacitance, inductance, time and frequency (500 MHz and below), modulation and pulse characteristics. It also encompasses repair, calibration, or modification of items such as: audio and low frequency signal generators, oscilloscopes, digital and analog voltmeters, AC/DC ammeters, watt meters, electronic counters, pulse generators, resistance, capacitance, inductance, bridges, and other general purpose measuring equipment. Power Production/Environmental systems experience/training may be used in lieu of above disciplinary skills as required.
It is anticipated that Engineering Technicians will be assigned as these job descriptions state and other related specific tasking details and priorities will be determined and set by the Commander, KAFMB and communicated to the Contractor lead.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. An Associate’s degree in a relevant field, and three (3) years of work experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating electronic precision measurement equipment and calibration laboratory reference standards, with a working knowledge of the basic concepts of electronics and science. This knowledge shall include basic electricity, electronics, circuit theory, digital logic, algebra, and physics. OR;
B. Completion of a U.S. military precision measurement and calibration program, a precision measurement and calibration school at an accredited school, or within a specialized calibration firm, and four (4) years of work experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating electronic TMDE.
