About the Role


Assists Configuration Supervisor with leading a multi-skilled team in the development, planning and coordination of programs and activities necessary to seamlessly alter the configuration of critical facilities infrastructure, systems and equipment.


Assists with the oversight of facilities infrastructure being provided to the Operations building. This includes but is not limited to, the provision and monitoring of cabling, power, space and cooling as it pertains to that building. Review of planned works and oversight of facilities infrastructure changes necessary to incorporate those works is essential. Reporting of power and cooling requirements ensures that Configuration Supervisor remains across requirements and deliverables for the facilities infrastructure.


Accountable for the efficient functioning of their team, including the oversight and execution of critical system configuration changes, while ensuring high levels of service are maintained. Also ensures that the configuration management function is delivered in a manner that maximizes equipment availability while minimizing mission risk.

 

An Integral role within a diverse and complex work environment that is responsible for the management and control of critical infrastructure configuration, and is a key advisor of the Project, O&M and customer teams across the Program Site.


Work Schedule:

Day shift – 5 days per week, 8 hours per day


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Leadership role with the assigned personnel in the management and control of critical infrastructure configuration and associated documentation ensuring change management practices are being followed.
  • Leadership role with a team in the planning, coordination of programs and activities, systems and equipment, execution and administration of tasks in support of critical infrastructure management and changes, including hands on electrical work, cable and fiber install and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare, develop, update and manage documentation relevant to facility standard configuration.
  • Provides a professional service in the supervision of an allocated team, including responsibility for planning, organizing, coordinating, scheduling, training, mentoring, and resource and performance management.
  • Review and provide technical advice on proposed changes to facility infrastructure and systems, from general concepts through to detailed IFC designs.
  • Support stakeholder engagement, communication and requirement definition.
  • Support the integration, coordination, compilation and communication of technical information, recommendations and advice relevant to facility infrastructure, systems and equipment.
  • Reporting of power and cooling requirements ensures that Configuration Supervisor remains across requirements and deliverables for the facilities infrastructure.
  • Maintain health and safety within the workplace by promoting safety awareness initiatives, discussions and trainings, encouraging a safety focused culture and participating and reviewing risk assessments for those under their supervision.
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested.

 

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 10kgs, kneeling, standing and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Security Clearance Required:

It is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role.  The employee will require a Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Department of Defence Security Clearance (Australian) or TS/SCI (U.S.) clearance w/ Poly.    


Tickets and Licenses:Minimum Essential:

  • US recognized Master Electrician License
  • Ability to obtain Australian White Card
  • Drivers License 

Desirable:

BICSI or similar cabling design and install certification

All personnel assigned shall be: 

  • US or Australian Citizens 
  • At least 18 years of age
