Overview:
Serve as Cook for an enterprise Base Operations Support contract in the Northwest Florida Area. This individual will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to the culinary areas of the contract and must demonstrate and apply highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills and the ability to manage thrive under high pressure situations. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
Responsibilities:
Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
Collaborate with Executive Chef and other cooks to prepare meals during dining hours
Maintain and accurate food inventories
Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
Rotate stock items as per established procedures
Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
Ensure that food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized by the end of your shift
Required Qualifications and Experience:
High school diploma/GED required
2+ years’ experience as a Cook in the restaurant industry
Able to read and follow standardized recipes
Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere
ServeSafe Certification preferred
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work in a fast-pace environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules
Excellent organizational and time management skills
