Project Manager

Amentum is currently searching for a Senior level Project Manager (PM) having a combination of distribution management ability, proven leadership qualities, and customer-oriented focus. The PM will oversee programs at the DLA Hill facility located at Hill AFB, Utah, providing multi-disciplinary support of diverse warehouse distribution systems. Will assist in the planning, control and direction of staff and support personnel. Directly supports the maintenance of the current contract base; develops and implements new business strategies.

This senior level Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for the following:

Plans, controls, manages, and successfully complete the contract deliverables in accordance with the contract’s Performance Work Statement (PWS). Responsible for knowledge and familiarity with the requirements of the PWS, to include cost, scheduling, and overall performance of the contract deliverables. Technical writing and resource planning in support of USG solicitations for new work Maintains cognizance over day-to-day program operations and monitors fulfillment of contract requirements to ensure quality and timeliness of services/deliverables to various customers. Provides overall supervision for the contractor employees to include, but not limited to:

  • Planning and managing the contract professionally.
  • Coaching and mentoring supervisors and leads ensuring that work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources.
  • Ensuring that accurate and timely reports are provided.
  • Effectively supervising the project and employees to prevent inefficient or wasteful methods in the performance of services ordered.
  • Executing cost saving factors and quality controls to ensure work is performed as scheduled and at a fair and reasonable cost. 

Provides overall management coordination and serve as the central Point of Contact (POC) with the Government for all work under the contract.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Distribution Management, Business Management or Business Administration preferred.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in Distribution Management or at least ten (10) years of progressive management experience in distribution operations similar in size and complexity to the warehouse operation location at DLA Hill.
  • Experience shall include as a minimum three (3) years’ experience using automated warehouse management systems within the past five (5) years.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook) and integrated software applications are required.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must pass a government background check and drug screen.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a Secret Clearance.
