Amentum is actively seeking a motivated entry level Electrical Engineer in the Englewood, CO office responsible for a variety of engineering tasks in the initial planning through final design for projects of limited complexity under the direct supervision of a Supervising Electrical Engineer or Design Supervisor. 

This position requires the use of 2D/3D modeling software to create drawings for electrical systems in government facilities. The Design Engineer interacts with other disciplines, project support groups, vendors and client representatives as appropriate on assigned projects and is responsible for initiating and developing engineering drawings through completion in conformance with the requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project.

Minimum Requirements:

•Must have obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4 year ABET accredited college or university.

•Have 0 to 3 years of post-graduation professional electrical engineering experience in electrical plant layout design and details.

•Must have completed coursework in Power Systems Analysis, Power Distribution Systems, Energy and Electric Power or related power courses.

•Working knowledge of 2D AutoCAD Software

•Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills

•Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen. No dual citizens. 

•Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Position may require travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

•EIT Certification (please indicate in profile)

•Prefer candidate have working experience in electrical physical plant design  or electrical building design from a previous internship with an engineering firm.

•AutoCAD, MEP,  MicroStation or REVIT 2D/3D experience.

Compensation & Benefits

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $66K - $98K Annually (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
