Amentum is currently seeking an ambitious part-time Electrical Power Engineer Intern in the Englewood, CO office responsible for a variety of electrical engineering tasks under the general supervision of a Supervising Electrical Engineer. The Amentum Internship is designed to engage college students in the practical application of a technical study and to familiarize the intern with the interactions and requirements of the industry.
1. Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
2. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience.
3. Individuals interning in Environmental Sciences (ES&H), Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Science and Management Information Systems.
4. Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
5. Assist in the preparation of project calculations.
Minimum Requirements
Working towards MSEE with afocus in Power and Energy Systems
- ABET accredited college or university student with a BSEE degree.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
- Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications.
- Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
- Works independently and collaboratively with guidance and direction from others.
- US Citizen (dual citizenship is not allowed).
Preferred Qualifications
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.
- Previous Internship focused on Electrical Engineering.
- Working knowledge and expertise in MathCad, Python, Excel, and Word.
- Classes focused in Power System Analysis for Industrial Systems.
Compensation
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $26 - $32 (Hourly) (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
