Job Description

Under supervision, performs simple and routine tasks or tests within, but not necessarily limited to a prescribed area of expertise. Duties will be varied and will fall under the generally accepted category of computer technical work.

Essential Responsibilities:

Assist with the installation, fabrication, modification and operation of test equipment used on special projects. Operate a variety of computer systems to assist in the collection and compilation of data. Perform a wide variety of duties in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of computers and peripheral equipment. Test electronic circuits and components to locate and replace defective components, P.C. boards, using appropriate electronic test equipment and hand tools. Maintain and repair PC hardware and auxiliary hardware. Maintain parts inventory, technical documentation and record of repairs. Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and overhaul of repair of equipment.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical warehouse environment with no unusual hazards, frequent lifting to 20-50 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Vocational/technical training beyond high school and some job-related experience or equivalent.

  • Excellent written communication skills; working knowledge of word processing and integrated software application; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work as required.


Additional Requirements:

  • Must have a valid and current state drivers license.

  • Must understand and be able to use Technical Manuals.

  • Must be able to complete paperwork associated with vehicle maintenance and repairs.

  • Ability to manipulate and use hand tools and hydraulic equipment.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Passing a pre-employment drug screen and a government background check is required.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

  • Must be able to successfully pass a National Agency Check (NAC)/Public Trust within 60 days of hire if required.

  • Must be available for any shift. Willing to work weekends and other hours as needed.

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
