The Engineering Integrator is a member of the Engineering Department, and is primarily responsible for developing, coordinating and maintaining facility space plans from initial concept through execution at the Joint Defense Facility Pine Gap. This role serves as the central point of integration between the customer, Engineering and the Projects and Construction group.

  

The Engineering Integrator develops space plans based on customer requirements, advances those plans through review and approval, and maintains continuity as the plan transitions into execution. While construction activities are executed by the Projects and Construction group, the Integrator remains engaged as a coordinator and technical resource to ensure alignment with the approved design intent and customer expectations.

This role works closely with drafters within the drafting team to produce high-quality site and project deliverables that support mission-critical operations. The position requires technical flexibility in the use of AutoCAD and ARCIBUS to adapt to varying project demands, along with strong professional communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Prepare and deliver facilities space reports and presentations
  • Coordinate site space requests in accordance with space planning procedures
  • Maintain and update ARCHIBUS drawings and data types
  • Coordinate with drafters for the creation of architectural and interior layout drawings for space proposals
  • Work with other designers/engineers to coordinate space configuration changes and engineering discipline designs
  • Develop and implement change management practices for space planning efforts
  • Ensure, promote, and maintain health and safety practices/compliances at the site and within the workplace
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS 

Minimum Essential

  • Experience working with AutoCAD / ARCHIBUS
  • Demonstrated facility renovation and project coordination experience

Desirable

  • Undergraduate degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
  • Formal Project Management training or PMP Certification
  • Formal Qualifications in ARCHIBUS

TICKETS AND LICENCES

Minimum Essential

  • Drivers License
  • Formal Code training including AIS, UBC, IBC, NFPA, and others

Desirable

  • CPR
  • White Card
  • First Aid

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS – Minimum Essential

  • Basic understanding of construction practices and knowledge of drafting programs (AutoCAD / ARCHIBUS)
  • Facilities coordination or project management experience
  • Experience with SAP and Share-Point
  • Experience in data input in to AutoCAD/ARCHIBUS or similar application for space management
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with varied stakeholders
  • Experience with MS Office operating system

WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 10kgs, kneeling, standing and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT

It is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. The employee will require a Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Department of Defence Security Clearance (Australian) or TS/SCI (U.S.) clearance w/ Poly.

STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIREMENTS

All personnel assigned to work shall be:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Able to fluently read, write and speak English

EHS REQUIREMENT
