Role: Engineering Lead

Role Description:

Delivery 

  • Provide expert advice and support to senior leadership team including DG ADS as required 
  • Develop and maintain Engineering Management Plans and other engineering management planning artefacts (e.g. WBS) 
  • Supply engineering planning, resource management and reporting support in accordance with approved Engineering Management Plans and the CASG E&T BMS 
  • Support requests for tender, tender evaluations and development of related decision support artefacts, contract negotiations and development of related decision support artefacts 
  • Support contract execution activities including but not limited to participating in and contributing to engineering management activities in accordance with relevant contracts (planning workshops, working groups, system reviews, etc.) as required 
  • Be proactive in identifying and managing risks, issues and opportunities aiming to ensure an effective and efficient delivery of the engineering outcomes 
  • Coordinate change management in accordance with the configuration management plan and E&T authority levels assigned in accordance with the approved Engineering Management Plan 
  • Provide mentoring & coaching to ADF and APS engineering managers 

Documentation 

  • Develop and maintain Engineering Management planning artefacts, ensuring they are current and fit for purpose including: 
  • Engineering Management Plans 
  • Inputs to WBS and schedule 
  • Briefing packs 
  • Decision Briefs or other decision support documents 

Engagement 

  • Represent CASG and coordinate attendance at, participation in, and actions arising from stakeholder working groups and meetings 
  • Represent CASG at contractual activities including major system reviews and project test events 
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with 
  • Capability Integration, Project Management, Scheduling, and Commercial teams Reporting 
  • Maintain regular reporting requirements as defined by applicable CASG BMS requirements
