Position Title: Facility Electrical Engineer Intern

Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO

Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time

Description of Duties:

The Facility Electrical Engineer Intern supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The intern will assist design engineers to develop facility designs through the complete Project Management lifecycle, to include requirements gathering, conceptual layouts, preliminary designs, detailed designs, implementation of design, and closeout with as-built documentation.  Candidate will be working with team of engineers to include architectural, electrical, mechanical, and fire alarm.  Some of the activities will include:

  • Assist in the drafting of designs
  • Assist in requirements gathering for current projects
  • Assist in the development and review of project specifications
  • Assist in the development of bill of materials for project designs

The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal ‘teaming’ soft skills
  • Have proficiency with MS Office

Basic Requirements:

  • Must have 1, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
  • College student studying for electrical engineering degree having finished Sophomore year prior to start of internship in May 2026
  • Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Compensation Details:

$21.15/hr
