Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Worker - Carpenter/Painter to join our team on Andros Island, Bahamas to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission. This position is reserved for Bahamian citizens only. Must be a citizen of the Bahamas.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work both independently and as part of an overall maintenance team.

  • Provide service in carpentry and painting to meet the needs of the AUTEC base.

  • Follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

  • Prior experience with cabinetry, counter-tops and vanities preferred.

  • Maintaining various components of buildings, including walls, ceilings, floors, doors, windows and hardware.

  • Repairs and replacing laminate, vinyl and tile flooring. Prep prime and paint interior and exterior walls and structures.

Minimum Requirements:       

  • High school graduate.

  • 2 years of painting experience.

  • Ability to repair drywall and perform minor carpentry is essential.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Strong carpentry background for facilities maintenance and construction activities. Strong understanding of wood working, cabinetry, fabrication and repair techniques.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, climbing and working in various conditions.

  • Adhering to safety protocols procedures and guidelines, company policy and procedures. Proper use of hand and power tools and personal protective gear.

  • This position is reserved for Bahamian citizens only. Must be a citizen of the Bahamas.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of painting experience in residential and commercial work environments.

       

Compensation Details:

$50.00 - $60.00
