Amentum is seeking an Information Technology intern for a 10-week summer internship.

This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Station, FL.

Essential Functions

  • Responds to telephone calls, emails and in-person requests for a variety of technical issues in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Maintains a high degree of end user support that ensures that equipment, software, communications and training is sufficient for all end user needs.
  • Works in collaboration with the IT department to resolve problems and provide technical fixes.
  • Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems for end users.
  • Documents, tracks and monitors problems to ensure timely resolution.
  • May assist IT personnel in the tech refresh deployments, installation of hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and other similar or related equipment.
  • Develops strong understanding of company operations, requirements, and objectives to ensure that all IT operations support corporate objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and written
  • Organizational and time management skills to balance, plan, prioritize, and execute projects
  • Ability to work within a dynamic, fast paced environment with time constraints.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Required Experience

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (BS) or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.

       

Compensation Details:

$22.00 per hour
