Area 1 delivery performance is managed through integrated schedule, cost, risk, change and governance processes, requiring strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of Area 1 projects and work packages.
  • Develop and execute project delivery strategies aligned with program objectives.

  • Oversee contractor and supplier performance to ensure delivery commitments are achieved.
  • Manage interfaces between design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational stakeholders.
  • Drive proactive risk identification, mitigation and issue resolution.
  • Support project governance by providing accurate reporting, forecasts and performance insights.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, technical, regulatory and assurance requirements.
  • Lead project change management activities and assess impacts to cost, schedule and scope prior to approval.
  • Support commissioning, testing and handover activities to achieve operational readiness and acceptance requirements.

Essential Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering major capital projects valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
  • Proven capability managing complex project lifecycles from planning through to commissioning and handover.
  • Strong understanding of project controls including scheduling, cost management, risk management and reporting.
  • Experience managing engineering, construction and contractor delivery teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Strong commercial and contract management capability.
  • Experience working within structured governance and assurance frameworks.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience within defence, maritime, infrastructure, energy or major government programs.
