Amentum is currently seeking a Jr. Classified Support Technician to support an IT Managed Services program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems.

You will be a part of a team that provides end-user support with processes for managing and delivering services that are ITIL® conformant. The team also resolves incidents, service requests, and problems associated with service failures or degradations that are related to hardware and software computing devices (including mobile equipment).

As a member of the team, you will:

  • Respond to service requests and incident management services, generated by the Service Desk and by customers. Serve as the point of escalation for technical issues encountered-but-unresolved by the Tier I and Tier II Technicians.
  •  Resolve more complex issues escalated from the Service Desk and reported by the computing customer.
  •  Provide set up and medium-to-advanced troubleshooting of video conference equipment.
  •  Provide basic to advanced desk side support and troubleshooting skills for Windows and software applications. System administration for Windows desktop.
  •  Mac OS and application experience a plus.
  •  Troubleshoot virtual desktops as required.
  • Test application compatibility and support cyber initiatives.
  • Work with tier-3 to develop and deliver training to new team members.
  • Review and update knowledge articles applicable to the environment.
  • Assist with project deployment and implementation.
  • Execute virtual machine provisioning.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Degree and 2 years of experience.
  • Must have an ACTIVE Top Secret or DOE Q clearance.
  •  Intermediate-to-advanced MS productivity suite and collaborative applications expertise (e.g., Office, Access/SQL, Visio, SharePoint).
  •  Intermediate-to-advanced desktop support and trouble shooting skills for Windows, Mac, Linux/Unix OS, and applications (includes both classified and unclassified support).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CompTIA Certifications, such as A+ or Network+.
  • Microsoft Certifications, such as MCSA Windows.
  • Apple Certifications, such as ACSP or JAMF Certs.
