Our NORAD Operations Group
Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems to support the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).
Since 2020, through NISSC II, has provided:
- Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.
- Mitigation of orbital conflicts.
- Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.
- Operations and maintenance of classified communications.
- Software development and integration.
NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:
- Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado
- Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado
- Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska
- Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
- Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world
Description of Duties:
The Jr. Risk Analyst supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will:
- Contribute to risk management processes, coordinate risk-related activities, prepare reports and briefings, support risk management boards, and help maintain compliance with program and customer requirements.
- Support the identification, assessment, tracking, and reporting of risks, issues, and opportunities across assigned programs and projects.
- Analyze data, trends, and metrics to identify potential risks and support informed decision-making.
- Maintain risk registers, action item trackers, and associated documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor mitigation plans and corrective actions, tracking progress to support timely resolution of identified risks and issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather information and support risk management activities.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and briefing materials for leadership and stakeholder reviews.
- Participate in meetings, reviews, and governance boards by documenting discussions, tracking action items, and monitoring follow-up activities.
- Maintain risk management records and repositories to ensure information is current, accurate, and audit ready.
- Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and maintenance of risk management procedures and best practices.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail, professionalism, and quality standards
This position is expected to pay $60,000-$75,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
This position will be filled and work onsite at Amentum Downtown Building, Colorado Springs, CO

Basic Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have one year or more of general work experience
- Must have 6 months or more of directly related experience
- Must have or the ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance.
- Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and present information clearly and accurately.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
- Ability to track multiple tasks, action items, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to prepare reports, meeting minutes, presentations, and briefing materials.

- Familiarity with Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) management processes, risk registers, risk matrices, and risk scoring methodologies.
- Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) methodologies.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous process improvement and operational excellence.
- Knowledge of document control, records management, and process compliance requirements.
- Experience maintaining databases, trackers, and program metrics.
- Experience supporting management reviews, boards, working groups, or similar governance activities.
- Experience developing reports, dashboards, and briefing materials for leadership.
- Familiarity with government contracting environments, DoD programs, or federal customer support environments is a plus.

Compensation Details:
$60,000-$75,000
