Shift: Day shift

Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time

Description of Duties:

We're looking for a Lead Program Scheduler for Amentum's Missile Defense Division. The Lead Program Scheduler reports to the Earned Value (EV) Manager supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) Contract. The Lead Program Scheduler will lead a team of schedulers that are matrixed across multiple task orders who accurately develop, maintain, and update status for baseline schedules.

The Lead Program Scheduler will be responsible for the following:

Leadership & Management:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance and mentorship to the schedulers and other team members on best practices and EV principles
  • Develop and deliver training to project personnel on program requirements and scheduling best practices
  • Ensure schedules comply with program guidelines, assist with implementation, and provide accurate schedule deliverables to customers
  • Ensure schedulers develop and maintain schedule artifacts and other documentation supporting contract deliverables.

Technical Acumen:

  • Conduct schedule risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to identify and address potential problems
  • Lead efforts to improve scheduling processes, design and evaluate new tools, and provide technical support for complex scheduling issues
  • Perform critical path analysis, resource loading, schedule risk assessments, and other schedule analyses to optimize project performance
  • Create, baseline, and update integrated project schedules, develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and integrate them with program reporting data.

Customer Engagement and Collaboration:

  • Optimize customer visibility
  • Collaborate with project managers, control account managers, and stakeholders to ensure accurate schedule development and to communicate schedule status and risks.

Basic Requirements:

  • Must have 14, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
    • May be reduced with completion of advanced education
  • Must have 8, or more, years of directly related / specialized experience as an EV scheduler
  • Must have 5, or more, years of experience working in a management or leadership role
  • Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

  • Have experience building, managing, and motivating a team to deliver high-quality products that are reliable for near-real time decision making
  • Have experience providing direct support to Account Managers, Project Managers, and contract leadership performing in-depth financial analysis
  • Have experience managing a complex, discrete resource-loaded Integrated Master Schedule consisting of Level of Effort (LOE) and multiple independent project schedules
  • Have experience leading month-end updates (establishing new baselines, capturing approved baseline changes, status and forecast updates) to support the monthly IPMR cycle

Compensation Details:

$160,000 - $180,000
