This position works under the management of the Procurement Manager's Office. Under its supervision, people in this position ensure LOGCAP V contract compliance for the organization by competing and procuring materials that are purchased by the LOGCAP V contractor and maintaining audit ready procurement files. Their staff performs sourcing for vendors and market research, product and services competition, and coordination of purchase requests.
Education:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration (or similar) from an accredited university.
Licenses/Certifications:
Preference will be given to candidates that hold a Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) certification from the American Purchasing Society.
Experience:
-Person who has at least 3 years’ experience working as a Buyer on a U.S. Gov contract is preferred.
-General knowledge of FAR and DFAR, Procurement Compliance.
-General knowledge of buying supplies i.e HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Auto Parts and Office Supplies.
-Experience working with internal customers and vendors.
Other Qualifications:
Must be able to function in an office setting, answer the phone, use office equipment, etc. Must possess strong negotiating skills. Must be able to speak, read and write English.
