Description
This candidate will provide systems engineering, requirements management and integration support to the MSFC Systems Design and Verification Branch (EV72) for the Space Reactor-1 Freedom (SR-1) Program and to the MSFC Systems Engineering and Integration Division (EV70).
The candidate will coordinate and interface with multiple SR-1 engineering disciplines, system elements, cross-program elements, and customers, as well as participate in SR-1 reviews, meetings, working groups, task teams, and trade studies. The candidate will provide support for the development and integration of systems engineering solutions of key systems engineering products including requirements specifications, support program/project deliverables and subsequent activities where these products are assessed and matured. The successful candidate will work with the SR-1 System element customers/partners from inception to deployment to ensure stakeholder needs are satisfied.
System engineering support to be provided by the candidate includes the following responsibilities:
Qualifications
A degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Systems Engineering or related field is required. Degree from an ABET accredited institution is preferred. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a BS degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience in systems engineering and integration, launch vehicle definition, functional design, design integration, requirement verification, and/or requirement validation.
