Amentum is seeking a security-minded, critical thinker with strong communication and analytical skills to join our team of security professionals providing workforce vetting support to a government customer in a dynamic and challenging environment. 

Amentum’s Personnel Security SME/Name Check Analyst will provide a thorough review of security clearance and personnel data from multiple sources to produce comprehensive review summaries, to include analyzing credit reports and working collaborating with outside offices. Our Personnel Security SME will be expected to coach less experienced colleagues, and share knowledge, best practices, and guidance on relevancy of information. The Personnel Security SME will work collaboratively with a team to balance a revolving workload, and prioritize requests as necessary. The Personnel Security SME will provide verbal or written briefings on case status and details as requested.

All work will occur at a fixed customer location in the Washington Metropolitan Area (WMA) and work shifts will fall between 5:30am-6pm Monday-Friday.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting security clearance processing functions

  • 5+ years of experience supporting the Pelican customer and utilizing systems of record

  • Experience creating and issuing oral and written case briefings

  • Proficient in creating succinct executive summary level documents incorporating multiple data points and sources

  • Demonstrated superior customer service and professionalism

  • Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in the handling of sensitive information

  • Ability work independently and collaboratively with a team

  • Demonstrated analytical ability and the ability to handle a medium to large, semi complex workload

  • Expertise of Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 704 or Security Executive Adjudicative Directive (SEAD) guidelines

  • Knowledge and ability to use computer operating systems/tools such as Microsoft Office Suite

  • Bachelor’s degree in a security related study (or equivalent experience 5 years of additional work experience in a relevant field)

  • US government issued TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required at time of application

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of recent security adjudication experience

  • Expertise eliciting information during interviews and ability work effectively with variety of individuals

This position is not designated as a safety sensitive position.

Compensation Details:

120,000-170,000
