Amentum is currently seeking a Procurement Manager to support the Prototyping Integration Facility (PIF) of the Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Center (C5ISR) at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ areas. This project provides the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Futures Command, U.S. Special Forces and the U.S. Marine Corps integration of C5ISR operational prototypes onto a range Military Weapon Systems & Platforms (air, ground & sea) as well as performing C5ISR prototyping, integration, and testing support based on Real-World emerging needs of the Warfighter.

 

Position Description

  • Manage a team of 5-7 procurement specialist
  • Serve as a technical expert in materiel procurement and acquisition supporting project execution; perform and coordinate administrative, technical, and professional efforts related to ensuring that materials, equipment, and services required are received as required to support mission execution
  • Produce and review specifications, solicitations, requests for proposals, sourcing research, proposal review
  • Ensure compliance with guidelines, policies, and internal controls.  
  • Working knowledge of Costpoint Software.
  • Working knowledge of Onpoint software. 
  • Must be capable of demonstrating experience in conducting analysis and developing materiel and process solutions.  
  • Produce and review technical documentation, reports and status updates.  
  • Recommend measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of service, and suggests changes to increase efficiency.
  • An active working knowledge of the FAR / DFAR regulations.
  • Work in office on base, 3 days a week with staff and customer.  (Hybrid position)
  • Conduct weekly Staff meetings and Monthly MPR’s.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Requires a High School Diploma (preferred BS /BA degree).
  • 8 years’ experience (4 or more in the Defense Industry).
  • Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Demonstrated experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Experience working within a DoD, government contracting, or defense manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing procurement for technical, engineering, or integration programs.
  • Proficiency with procurement systems and ERP platforms (e.g., Costpoint, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Knowledge of supply chain risk management, including vendor vetting, quality reviews, and compliance assurance.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOMs, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Experience developing or reviewing Statements of Work (SOWs), RFPs, RFQs, and supplier contracts.
  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to perform cost/price analysis or support cost evaluations.
  • Ability to travel between APG and JBMDL as required.

Compensation Details:

$85,959 - $145,000
