We’re building something exciting in Kraków — a new Integrated Delivery Solutions team (IDS) and we are looking for a Project Controls Specialist (Specjalista/ Specjalistka ds. Kontroli Projektów) to join the team.

The selected candidate will be employed by Ciritical Mission Services Sp. z o.o., part of Amentum.

About the Role 
The Project Controls Specialist plays an important role in supporting Project Managers and the wider Project Services team in delivering projects effectively. The role focuses on cost control, project reporting, forecasting, and documentation support, ensuring that project information is accurate, timely, and aligned with internal processes.
This role is well suited to individuals who enjoy analytical work, organizing project information, and supporting PMs with consistent and structured controls processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, and ad hoc project reports for Project Managers and senior stakeholders

  • Support budget development, cost forecasting, cash flow planning, and monitoring of spending trends

  • Track project costs against approved budgets and identify variances using standard controls processes

  • Assist Project Managers with change control, including documentation, tracking, and financial impact analysis

  • Set up and maintain projects in corporate systems in line with internal governance and approval requirements

  • Support the development and maintenance of project dashboards and visual reports (e.g. Power BI) to provide insights into cost, schedule, and performance.

  • Perform basic data analysis to identify trends, risks, and anomalies in project cost and performance data

  • Support development of work plans, resource plans, and Excel based schedule inputs

  • Coordinate and maintain project documentation, ensuring accurate version control in systems such as SharePoint and Teams

  • Provide administrative and coordination support for project meetings, reviews, and reporting cycles

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of project controls data through regular checks and close alignment with Project Managers

  • Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, and other internal teams to collect project data and maintain transparency

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project controls templates, reports, dashboards, and processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Controlling, Finance, Applied Mathematics, Business, or related field.

  • 1–3 years of experience in project controls, cost control, project coordination, finance, or similar roles.

  • Experience in environments such as engineering, infrastructure, construction, or consulting is beneficial.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis). Power BI is an asset.

  • Good level of English (B2 or higher); knowledge of Polish language is beneficial but not mandatory.

  • Experience with project management systems, cost tools, or ERP systems is a plus.

  • Solid understanding of project cost control, forecasting, and variance analysis

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify issues and solutions

  • Clear and effective communication with project managers and stakeholders

  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in documentation

  • Collaborative team player able to work with cross‑functional teams

  • Well‑organized, with the ability to handle multiple reports and documentation deadlines

  • Eager to learn and develop knowledge of project processes, tools, and the project lifecycle
