About the Opportunity

We’re on the lookout for a Project Manager to join our Technology division. You’ll be part of a friendly, collaborative team where no two days are the same, working on a variety of interesting and meaningful projects.
Our multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers and consultants deliver solutions across the nuclear lifecycle. From desk-based consultancy to on-site work, we provide innovative solutions to solve our clients’ most complex challenges.
This role is based at our Warrington campus. Due to the nature of the projects (including lab-based projects) you’ll need to be present on site at Warrington for at least 60% of the time.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a project manager with some experience who is looking for a role with plenty of variety, or a junior project manager ready to step up. You will bring enthusiasm and drive and will enjoy working across multiple projects and keeping lots of plates spinning.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll play a key role in keeping projects moving to deliver great outcomes for our clients.
Proactively manage the delivery of projects safely, to time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction.
Build strong, positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Keep everyone in the loop with clear, confident communication.
Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Stay on top of project governance requirements and manage risk and change effectively.
Monitor progress and provide accurate status updates to stakeholders.
Support in the development of budgets and schedules for projects and manage forecasts and actual costs against them.
Champion a strong safety culture.
Support with bids and proposals as needed.
Act as a role model for the Amentum values and behaviours.
Here's What You'll Need
Experience in successfully leading teams to deliver projects to time, cost and quality.
A confident communicator who’s comfortable working with clients and stakeholders.
Someone organised, proactive, and able to prioritise effectively.
A resilient, adaptable mindset with a positive, can-do attitude.
A good understanding of project basics—planning, risks, costs, and change
Commercial awareness, understanding cost and estimating principles and key performance metrics and taking action to deliver to budget.
A good understanding of project management basics, including scope management, cost control, schedule adherence, risk management and change management.
Desirable
APM PMQ (or equivalent).
Experience within the nuclear sector or another highly regulated industry
