Purpose and Scope:
Quality Supervisor is essential in implementing and overseeing quality control standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering continuous improvement, making their role critical in maintaining competitive advantage and customer satisfaction. Inspects and reviews maintenance source documents, inspection records, and other related forms used in construction and renovation projects to ensure forms and records are current, and comply with established procedures, USAF directives, and contract specifications.
Essential Responsibilities:
Supervise Quality Technicians by selecting and evaluating them as well as monitoring and managing their performance.
Provide technical guidance, counseling, documentation, and performance appraisals of Quality Control Technicians.
Meet operational standards by resolving problems, contributing information to strategic plans, and identifying improvements.
Maintain healthy and safe work environment by enforcing procedures and standards and complying with contractual regulations.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Keen attention to detail
Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications.
Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, calipers, and computers.
Up-to-date knowledge of federal and industry standards and best practices.
As Built/Blueprint reading capabilities.
Documentation and reporting skills.
Teamwork and collaboration.
Comfortable climbing, standing, or walking for long periods of time.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Education and Training: Associate degree in business management or administration (preferred) or 1-3 years’ experience in Quality Control/Assurance.
Analytical Skill: Quality Supervisor can conduct tests to ensure a product or material falls within established quality specification.
Interpersonal Skill: They can work with team of construction managers, safety technicians, quality technician’s personnel to make sure materials and final products meet set standards of quality.
Organizational Skill: They are adept at planning and developing standards, procedures, and best practices for ensuring product quality.
Work Environmental, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. Able to climb ladders, scaffolding, access building ladders at 1-3 story buildings.
