Amentum is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Capture Manager to pursue and win strategic federal contract opportunities across diverse government agencies. The successful candidate will lead capture efforts from opportunity qualification through proposal submission, developing and executing tailored strategies to secure competitive advantages and maximize probability of winning. The Senior Capture Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with Business Development (BD), Operations, Proposal, and Pricing teams to deliver innovative, customer-centric solutions that align with Amentum’s growth objectives.
The Senior Capture Manager will:
Develop comprehensive, customized capture plans, win strategies, and value propositions for individual opportunities.
Conduct in-depth competitive analysis, customer assessments, market research, and pricing strategy development to position Amentum for success.
Engage with customers to shape procurements by understanding requirements, priorities, and pain points.
Ensure strategies focus on differentiation, innovation, and efficient allocation of resources to maximize competitive advantages.
Lead, coordinate, and motivate cross-functional teams (e.g., BD, Proposals, Operations, Technical SMEs, Contracts, and Pricing).
Build effective teaming arrangements with key partners, small businesses, and subcontractors based on strategic alignment and opportunity requirements.
Collaborate with proposal managers to translate capture strategies into compelling, compliant proposal responses.
Ensure alignment of the solution development effort with the capture plan through all proposal phases.
Establish measurable goals for capture efforts and regularly track, update, and report progress to leadership.
Minimum Qualifications & Key Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree (Business, Management, Engineering, or related field)
10+ years of relevant capture management experience
Demonstrated success in leading and winning federal capture efforts, particularly large and complex pursuits
Key Competencies:
Experience leading teams with members from a variety of organizations and functional responsibilities, to develop and evolve win strategies.
Possess deep knowledge of the Capture process and the discipline to pursue the process.
Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, and peers.
Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts to stakeholders and decision-makers; strong briefing and writing skills.
Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and creative problem-solving abilities.
Compensation Details:
US: $180,000 and up DOE
