Amentum is seeking a dynamic and innovative Submarine Facilities and Basing Planner to provide planning and analysis support to the Commander, Submarine Force, Pacific (CSP) at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.

  • Have the experience and knowledge to support CSP in managing and planning the execution of upgrades to key Pacific Fleet homeports.

You will provide assistance to the Director of Warfighting Resources, Requirements, and Force Development by focusing on near, mid and long-term facilities refurbishment, modernization and new construction at submarine homeports throughout the Pacific in order to maximize warfighting readiness for the Pacific Submarine Force.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the CSP Staff in the management and battle rhythm of site planning and execution teams by scheduling and executing recurring meetings, developing and updating briefing products and action trackers. 
  • Interact with numerous stakeholders at each site such as installation and region staffs as well as various offices internal to multiple Naval Systems Commands such as NAVFAC, NAVSUP, NAVWAR, and NAVSEA.
  • Support development of interim facilities and infrastructure DOTmLPF-P measures in support of HHQ tasking to urgently field autonomous systems at scale.
  • Support annual programming cycle requirements in support of the planning, funding, and execution of enabling Facilities Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (FRSM) and Military Construction (MILCON) projects.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in Navy installation or facilities such as in NAVFAC, Naval Shipyards, Civil Engineer Corps, or working directly for a Naval installation.
  • Experience organizing and facilitating recurring meetings.
  • Experience developing and presenting briefings to senior leaders.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must have an active Secret clearance. Note:  US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional Certification
  • A Master’s Degree
  • At least 3 years of experience in the Indo-Pacific Area of Operations.
  • Experience working on a Type Commander or higher staff.

The salary range for this position is $145K to $165K. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
