We are looking for a Summer 2026 - Electrical Design and Test Engineering Intern to join our team.

The selected candidate will:

  • Assist with hardware and software work related to design, installation, testing
  • Assist with troubleshooting with electrical test equipment (i.e. voltmeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.).
  • Assist with technical products including test setups, development setups and documentation generation
  • Support testing activities for engineering development programs including International Space Station, Orion and Commercial Crew.
  • Participate in technical meetings and design reviews
  • Learn the processes and test methods in the Energy Systems Test Area with electrical engineering design, test and maintenance functions.
  • Perform other tasks assigned.

Required Education/Experience/Skills: 

Requisition Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university.
  • Completed at least 45 credit hours.
  • Minimum of 2.8 GPA.

Requisition Preferences: 

  • Proficient in MS Office programs, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.

      Essential Functions

      Work Environment

      Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

      Physical Requirements

      Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

      Equipment and Machines

      Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

      Attendance

      Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.

      Other Essential Functions

      Professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
