Role Title: Supply Support Officer

Scope and Project Background:

The LAND 8710 project supports the upgrade of legacy amphibious capability and to aligns the Army with strategic direction toward littoral operations in the Indo-Pacific. The program delivers a coordinated suite of vessels and amphibious vehicles, and supporting infrastructure, enabling independent ship-to-shore manoeuvre and sustained operations. Within this capability, the Supply Support Officer requires a strong foundation in logistics or engineering, combined with hands-on experience in spares analysis, codification, and supply chain planning, supported by excellent analytical and communication skills. This enables them to ensure LAND 8710 platforms are fully supportable, deployable, and operationally ready in demanding littoral environments.

The key responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to: 

- Conduct supply support analysis to determine initial provisioning lists, spares quantities, and inventory requirements
- Analyse reliability, maintenance, and usage data to forecast spare parts demand and optimise stock levels
- Develop and maintain supply support documentation, including supply support plans, provisioning lists, and supportability reports
-  Perform codification activities, including identification, classification, and registration of items (e.g. NSNs) in Defence logistics systems
- Maintain and manage accurate logistics and catalogue data in accordance with Defence standards and processes
- Work closely with RAM engineers and maintenance planners to align spares demand with failure rates and maintenance activities
- Support design and optimisation of supply chain solutions for deployed littoral operations, including remote and austere environments
- Coordinate with OEMs, engineers, and Defence stakeholders to obtain technical data and resolve supply-related issues
- Identify and mitigate supply support risks such as obsolescence, long lead-time items, and supply chain disruptions
- Recommend improvements to increase fleet availability and operational readiness

Essential Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
- Formal training or experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) or Supply Support Analysis
- Comprehensive working knowledge of supply chain design and logistics support within complex Defence environments: Preferably Maritime or Land projects
- Strong experience in spares analysis, provisioning, and inventory optimisation
- Experience with codification processes, including NSN management and catalogue data development
- Proficiency in data analysis tools e.g MILIS, SAP, ERP or similar systems
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Exceptional written communication skills with experience in report writing and stakeholder briefings
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Adaptability and flexibility to support evolving project requirements and operational needs
