The Systems Safety Supervisor will: 

  • Provide direct management of the Systems Safety Section, providing oversight, assistance, performance evaluations and development of section employees
  • Develop and provide resource estimates for systems safety support as requested by projects
  • Conduct regularly scheduled systems safety meetings with the customer and subject matter experts
  • Represent Amentum and the Safety & Mission Assurance Office to customers, flight safety panels and Program Chief Engineers
  • Ensure the availability of required resource skills, including flight safety professionals and subject matter experts
  • Provide weekly and monthly section accomplishment and status reports
  • Work with management to ensure all personnel operate within established safety and quality frameworks to deliver quality work and safely operate within their organizations
  • Perform other duties as required

Requisition Qualifications:

​Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • BS degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university and five (5) years relevant experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the proven ability to manage projects and people, including the ability to manage a complex systems safety program with multiple customers and to coordinate support for a wide range of technical disciplines​​
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Requisition Preferences:

  • ​MS degree in area of technical specialty is preferred
  • Experience in full flight hardware life-cycle as a systems engineer
  • Project Management experience
  • Smartsheet's experience
