Amentum is seeking a Systems Server Administrator Senior to support the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC). 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs moderately complex modification, testing, research, and debugging tasks on COTS/systems to ensure fit with Air Force and SFRC standards.
  • Provides problem-solving support to COTS/system end users on a variety of issues in a timely manner ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinates and performs upgrades on COTS/systems in compliance with Air Force and SFRC standards.
  • Recommends resolution to complex matters of significance and coordinates the implementation of the approved course of action.
  • Patches systems servers in compliance with NOTAM, TCNO, and MTO requirements as requested by server administrators or vendor documentation
  • Tracks and monitors COTS/systems tickets via the SFRC trouble ticketing system to ensure technically sound solutions are logged and documented.
  • Interface with team members and stakeholders to ensure status and expectations are managed
  • Assist IT manager in preparing reports for internal and external status meetings
  • Assist in ensuring that SFRC property is managed and annually inventoried in property tracking tools.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Effective communication skills with demonstrated capability to brief project information to management and customers.
  • Ability to interact with customers via phone or email, be a contributing team player, and interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Understanding of network equipment and infrastructure is a plus.
  • Good organizational and time management skills to balance, plan, prioritize, and execute projects.
  • Ability to work within a dynamic, fast paced environment with time constraints.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 8+ years of direct server administration experience in a dynamic technically challenging environment spanning multiple physical locations.
  • Current DoD 8140 Certification or be able to obtain within (6) months
  • Travel of 25% may be required.
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License

       

Compensation Details:

$120,000 to $135,000

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
