Role Title: Technical Assurance Lead


Role Description: The role of the Technical Assurance Lead is critical to delivering specialised technical system administration and independent technical assurance within GEOINT Platform Protected and Secret Directorate to ensure Defence systems are secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise architecture, policy, and operational requirements.
The Technical Assurance Lead contributes directly to Defence strategic outcomes by strengthening the integrity, resilience, and interoperability of critical ICT capabilities, enabling informed decision-making, reducing technical risk, and supporting mission readiness across the Commonwealth environment. Through proactive assurance and governance oversight, the role ensures that solutions meet mandated standards and deliver intended operational benefits/outcome to Defence.

Essential Requirements:
- Provide independent Technical Assurance for assessment of technical solutions, designs, and deliverables. This includes assurance on vendor delivered technical deliverables. PMP, Requirements/Traceability
- Preparation of technical scope for Integrated Project Teams (IPT’s) for the execution of contract for delivery.
- Verify compliance with organisational standards, policies, architectures, and security requirements.
- Identify, manage and report technical risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Assess the readiness of solutions for implementation and operational support.
- Provide recommendations to improve quality, performance, security, resilience, and sustainability.
- Support governance and decision-making through assurance reporting.

Required Security Clearance Level: NV2

Location: Canberra, on site, Russell Offices

Weekly Hours: 40
