Amentum is seeking a Training Services Division Deputy in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The Deputy will assist the Training Services Division Manager (TSD) for a Base Operations Support contract. The Deputy shall provide support to the TSD Manager for overall management of Logistics and Supply Chain operations, Food Services, Housekeeping Services, Training and Conferencing, Sales Store, Fitness & Aquatics, Two-way Radio Communications, Quality Assurance, and IT Support.

The selected candidate shall assist with overseeing the planning, scheduling, and quality inspections of the work performed for this effort. The Deputy shall demonstrate and apply highly developed interpersonal, analytical, and communication (written and verbal) skills, possess the ability to manage complex programs in a diverse and dynamic environment with short-notice tasking’s under high-pressure situations.

Job Requirements:

  • Provide assistance to the TSD Manager to ensure the requirements of the Scope of Work (SOW) are met in all functional areas, delivering high-quality services that align with the needs of the customer and in accordance with applicable statutes and industry best management practices.
  • Maintain professional staff and ensure that they follow established Government and Company training protocols, policies, directives, and procedures at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with US Government representatives and departments to accomplish tasks and requirements and promote a customer-friendly environment in support of operations at all levels.
  • Assist in the hiring process for vacancies aligned with TSD.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to all TSD functional area managers, supervisors, and team leads as needed to enable successful completion of their responsibilities and ensure they manage in line with relevant statutory, security, environmental, health, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to the Food Services Director to ensure the daily activities of all dining facilities are managed and functioning efficiently and in accordance with the SOW.
  • Provide direct oversight, assistance, and guidance to the Logistics Manager for direct oversight of Supply Chain and Logistics services.
  • Provide direct oversight and assistance to the Logistics Manager for the management of inventory tracking as needed using Government approved warehouse/management control systems.
  • Provide assistance to the Logistics Manager for coordination with local Defense Reutilization and Marketing Offices (DRMO) or approved secured methods for disposing of excess property, ensuring compliance with appropriate Government representatives.
  • Provide assistance to the Housekeeping Manager to ensure daily hospitality services are functioning efficiently and in accordance with the SOW.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to the Quality Assurance Technician to ensure inspections are completed utilizing an established checklist and inspection schedule with accurate and timely reporting submitted to TSD management.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to Training and Conferencing Branch, Sales Store, Fitness & Aquatics, Two-way Radio Communications Office, and IT Support

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in areas defined as responsibilities above.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience with at least three years of supervisory experience in Supply Chain and Logistics Operations, Food Services, or Hospitality Services.
  • Minimum of 4-year college degree in Business Management or Supply Chain management.
  • Valid Drivers license
  • US or Naturalized Citizen
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of industry trends and best practices with regards to warehouse safety, supply chain management, inventory control techniques and procedures, Food Services, and Hospitality Services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Expert computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using MAXIMO.
  • Must posses a high level government clearance at time of application
