Role Title: Aeronautical Information Service - Air Force (AIS-AF) Database
Specialist Role Description: Amentum is seeking the services of a Level 2 Data and Configuration Management Specialist to support the Aeronautical Information Service - Air Force (AIS-AF) for an immediate start.
AIS-AF is responsible for the provision of aeronautical data, products, and services for the integrated force. These data are essential for the safe and efficient operation of Defence air, land, and sea platforms, as well as providing situational awareness for planners and mission executioners.
The candidate will be responsible for the creation and provision of certified data in the form of compiled Australian Digital Aeronautical Flight Information File (AusDAFIF) navigation databases for multiple Army Aviation platforms.
Specific tasks will include:
• Compiling and disseminating every recurring Aeronautical Information Regulation and Control (AIRAC) cycle (28 days) Navigation database for UH-60M, CH-47F and AH-64E in order to support US Army initiated and MAA certified I-RNAV capability upgrade.
• Establishing procedures for data validation in support of Type 2 Letter of Acceptance (LOA) certification including quality control, and compliance with DASR ANSP / RTCA DO-200B regulations and standards.
• Other tasks as directed by AIS-AF in support of Army Aviation.
All tasks being completed are highly dependent on inputs from external organisations including Army Aviation Systems Branch (AASB) and the Key Person must have the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with these stakeholders. Participation in stakeholder engagement activities and working groups may be required.
Essential Requirements:
• Completed or commenced a Bachelor of Aviation; or
• Completed or commenced a Certificate IV in Aviation
• Must be an Australian citizen
• Must not have past or current citizenship or permanent residency of a country proscribed by ITAR 126.1 or substantive ties to a country listed in ITAR 126.1
Desirable Requirements:
• Have demonstrated experience or interest in aviation.
Required Security Clearance Level: Baseline (NV1 preferred)
Location: Victoria: Barracks, Melbourne Victoria
Weekly Hours: 80 hour fortnight
