Description of Duties:

We're looking for a Business Associate for Amentum's Missile Defense Division (AMDD). The Business Associate reports to the Business Planning & Strategy Manager supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) Contract. The Business Associate will provide matrixed support to both Enterprise IT (EIT) and Mission IT (MIT) departments, working across the following functions: Proposals, Contracts, Finance & Accounting, Procurement & Subcontracts, and Earned Value.

The candidate will be responsible for the following:

Business Planning & Strategy:

• Identify/develop, test, and streamline business systems and process tools to realize efficiencies across enterprise functions

• Integrate and coordinate business functions to meet the requirements of the IRES task orders

• Perform analysis of business data and present the analysis to IRES leadership

• Prepare business reporting metrics, forecasting, and support business planning cycles for IRES and corporate requirements

• Assist the Business Planning & Strategy Manager with development of enterprise management objectives, milestones, and strategic initiatives

• Support both EIT and MIT teams in aligning business strategies with technical execution.

Leadership and Management:

• Provide integrated support to all enterprise management functions and processes

• Support stakeholders' participation and engagement to meet business milestones and deliverables

• Coordinate, integrate and deliver innovations to the task order mission areas, and IRES, as a whole, to optimize efficiencies and mission effectiveness

• Develop opportunities for growth, both in revenue and profitability

• Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure cohesive planning and execution.

Customer Relations:

• Optimize customer visibility

• Interface with executive leadership, stakeholders, and customers

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights, data, and feedback, facilitating effective communication and alignment on key initiatives.

Business Development:

• Support and collaborate with corporate resources in pursuit of on-contract growth/new business opportunities

• Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives that drive business growth.

The successful candidate will:

• Demonstrate initiative and insightful analysis in several business areas across an extremely diverse organization and missions.

• Make independent judgements required for the planning, prioritizing and organizing of a diversified workload.

• Have demonstrated experience in business planning and strategy including areas such as financial analysis, forecasting, accounting, and business function integration activities

• Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and at the executive level.

• Have a high level of analytical ability and accuracy.

Basic Requirements:

• Must have 8, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience

o May be reduced with completion of advanced education

• Must have 7, or more, years of directly related experience in one or more of the following business areas: Proposals, Earned Value, Finance, Project Management, or Government Contracting

• Must have 7 years of directly related experience in one or more of the following business areas: Proposals, Earned Value, Finance, Project Management, or Government Contracting

• Must have 1 year of experience working in a management or leadership role

• Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

• Be able to thrive in a dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to, and drive change

• Be familiarity with US Government contracting

• Have advanced Financial Management experience including Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Earned Value Management (EVM), Profit & Loss (P&L), Cash Flow, Risk & Opportunity (R&O), Government Compliance (Federal Acquisition Regulation), DCMA Compliance, Contract Close-Out

• Have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel with an emphasis on financial modeling and the use of advanced spreadsheet features

• Have experience with Visual Basics Automation (VBA) for automating Excel workflows, creating custom macros, and building user-defined functions to streamline data analysis and reporting

• Have experience with Deltek Cobra, Deltek Costpoint, Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Microsoft Project, and Empower

• Have demonstrated communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to peers, executive leadership, and customers

• Have experience in the development, review, and delivery of Government proposals

• Be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, work complex issues, and meet deadlines

This position is expected to pay $120,000 - $140,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
