The C-12 / UC-35 Army Transport Aircraft Quality Control Inspector (QC-I) reports under the Site Supervisor while performing QC duties and inspections required during daily aircraft maintenance being performed on-site. The QC-Inspector performs spot-checks on work in progress, and final inspections on maintenance items. Must be familiar with the provisions and responsibilities within the various programs being managed and monitored by the Quality Control department.
(FAA) A&P Certificate is Required.
Five (5) years of Army Aviation, A&P mechanic, and QC Inspector experience on the assigned C-12/King Air, UC-35 Citation 560 aircraft is preferred.
US Citizenship is Required to obtain the US Govt Secret Security Clearance required for this position and facility.
Comply with written company maintenance and logistics procedures as required.
Know, understand and comply with the requirements outlined in the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) Transport statement of work.
Ensure aircraft records keeping procedures comply with the requirements outlined in DA PAM 738-751 and maintain records of Evaluator Proficiency Evaluations.
Perform inspections, conduct evaluations and report deficiencies in all areas of contract performance as detailed in the applicable Quality Assurance Procedures.
Annual review of forms to ensure accuracy, intent and necessity.
Evaluate on- and off- equipment maintenance tasks.
Authorized to Stop work or prevent an aircraft from being released for flight, if the discovery of a deficiency creates an unsafe condition and/or presents a hazard to property or personnel.
Perform evaluations and inspections as outline in the QAP.
Implement applicable Quality Control policies and procedures.
Perform other qualified duties as assigned or requested by Management.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
A valid (FAA) A&P certificate is Required.
(FAA) Inspection Authorization (IA) is preferred.
Five (5) years of C-12/King Air and/or UC-35 Citation 560 hands-on maintainer experience is preferred, with working knowledge of QC Inspector duties and responsibilities.
Must be proficient in the use of AWBS (Aircraft Weight and Balance System).
In-depth knowledge of FAA, US Army Aviation, Hawker Beech and Cessna aircraft regulations is required.
A valid Drivers’ license is required.
Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills are required.
Must have the ability to move about freely in the interior of the aircraft and unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
Must be willing and able to work any shift/schedule assigned to meet operational requirements.
May travel within the CONUS US (TDY) as required or needed in support of mission requirements.
(AR95-20) A&P Pre-employment Medical Required:
All personnel performing engine runs, ground taxi, ordnance loading, or operating self-propelled support equipment within Ten (10) feet of the aircraft silhouette must pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional prior to conducting these operations, and subsequently on a specified periodic basis, not to exceed Five (5) years.
Security Clearance Requirements (Secret):
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is Required to obtain a US Govt Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this site and facility.
Physical and Additional Qualifications:
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Maintain a clean and organized workplace, promote housekeeping, safety and environmental control standards in all work areas
Moves about both inside aircraft hangar and outside on aircraft ramp within close proximity of running equipment and aircraft
Must have the ability to pull/push up to 50 lbs. and be able to stand/squat/bend/walk/climb/maneuver in and around aircraft.
Inspector tool bag, mirror and flashlight, required.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Maintain a clean and organized workplace.
Be physically able to deploy with unit aircraft to overseas locations (TDY) if requested in support of mission requirements.
