We have an exciting opportunity for a
Cleanroom Laboratory Technician II to join our team!
This is a CBA position with Amentum.
The
Cleanroom Laboratory Technician II will:
- Train new personnel on laboratory cleaning techniques and procedures for controlled cleanroom environments.
- Carryout and lead personnel with precision cleaning of equipment, instruments, processing cabinets and/or desiccators.
- Perform housekeeping task assignments inside state-of-the-art cleanrooms laboratories and research labs that have highly sensitive equipment and samples.
- Utilize and monitor usage of Ultra-Pure Water and GN2 systems in laboratory environments, including cleanrooms.
- Perform particle counts on cleaning equipment, tools, and instruments and record data in an electronic format.
- Perform monthly laboratory routine tasks to repair and/or replace gloves on processing cabinets.
- Perform and maintain inventory control of cleanroom garments, consumable supplies, and chemicals as required.
- Monitor and carryout the removal of lunar sample debris and coordinate appropriate personnel in the disposal of controlled materials according to established procedures and requirements.
- Assist with VIP tour setups and sample inventory audits.
- Perform assigned work and maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with all safety procedures and company policies.
- Perform related duties as required.
Requisition Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience.
- Ability to read and interpret safety materials and laboratory operating procedures for controlled clean rooms.
- Ability to calculate and verify sample particle counting.
- Able to operate and handle basic hand-held tools.
- Knowledgeable in the use of nitrogen, ultra-pure water, and O2 sensors.
- Able to comprehend basic technical terminology and be able to communicate effectively with other employees, teammates, and department leads.
- Able to perform skilled work independently.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Work in a team environment with good communication skills.
- Must be able to pass and maintain required courses and certifications.
- Must be a non-smoker to meet Class 10 clean room requirements.
Requisition Preferences:

Familiar with working with various types of metals and materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, Teflon, Lexan and quartz glass.
- Some knowledge of working with cleanroom sensitive equipment and instruments such as, heat sealers, sonicators, ovens, and fume-hoods.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks resulting in consistent productivity.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Essential Functions Work Environment Typically a cleanroom environment. May be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather, excessive humidity, rain, etc. Various noise levels caused by power tools, machinery, equipment, etc.
Equipment and Machines:Operates basic hand-held tools such as wrenches, crimping tools, screw-drivers, pliers, etc. laboratory instruments such as microscope, heat sealer, ovens, sonicators, fume- hoods etc., personal computer and related computer peripheral equipment to maintain and update database logs and/or records, and print documents.
Ability to use Microsoft Office and Windows Operating System.
Attendance: Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
Other Essential Functions: Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
