Role Description
This function will work under limited direction to perform and achieve moderately complex cost modelling and commercial tasks within an integrated workforce. IWP member/s will liaise with stakeholders of all levels, building good working relationships and will be the point of contact for all costing enquiries.

Essential Requirements:

  • Leading and supporting ACEASPO and Project cost modelling for unapproved money.   
  • Assisting in determining the appropriate phasings for future cooperative arrangements in the context of portfolio budget pressures.   
  • Contributing towards broader Cooperative Project cost estimation, financial management and accounting expertise in the broader AEA Enterprise, including leading engagement activities with international partners and other SPOs.   
  • Building and sustaining productive relationships with international partners, ACEASPO Exec, other SPOs, Project Managers and team members, and providing high level commercial SME advice;  
  • Providing guidance and assisting with training and personal development planning to grow the commercial financial (cost modelling) acumen of the team; and Providing input into, and clearance of, key planning documents.  
  • Achievement of Project Financial objectives/milestones.
  • Review and advise on financial aspects of procurement activities. Including but not  
  • limited to Tender evaluation, ETP and S23.
  • The provision of specialist advice on costing management policy and processes.  
  • Supporting the standardisation and delivery of and ACEASPO financial reporting, including leading the delivery for unapproved elements, including but not limited to the delivery of monthly reporting and APR reports.
  • 5-7 years plus in cost estimation and forecasting background, especially in CASG and Defence area/s.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Timely delivery of tasks from ACS Branch.   
  • Strong Communication Skills   
  • Demonstrated Stakeholder engagement skills.   
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing work demand
  • Effective engagement of stakeholders and subject matter experts to facilitate outcomes (e.g. communicating effectively with areas of expertise).   ACEASPO tasks have been actioned in in the expected timeframe and efficient manner.  
  • SPO Director support requests are actioned in in the expected timeframe and a quality output.  
  • Demonstrated understanding of SPO business

Required Security Clearance Level: Active NV1 Clearance.

Location: Amberley QLD. However the SPO has indicated willingness to look at Canberra if the candidate is the right fit 

Weekly Hours: Monday to Friday / 40 hours per week
