The EHS Manager performs general environmental, health and safety support services, investigations and analyses and other-directed assignments. Develops, implements, and administers environmental, health, and safety protection, and substance abuse prevention programs affecting employee and public safety, occupational health, fire protection and prevention, and equipment and property protection. Serves as a resource for line management to develop and administer a proactive prevention program for accidents and illnesses.

7-10 years’ experience in a similar role
Maintain expert knowledge of specific government agency requirements.
Utilizes advanced techniques and diversified knowledge of environmental principles.

Uses independent judgment and discretion in data analysis and problem resolution.
Develops, implements, and maintains safety and health programs, systems and procedures. Monitors and prevents hazards and diseases that could be present in the work area.
Investigates accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace.
Must possess working knowledge of the: ◦Australian Work Health Safety Act 2011
Recommends improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment to minimize hazards.
Develop and conduct employee training, emergency preparedness and assures the quality of programs.
Provides regulatory interpretation and technical advice.
Prepares reports and recommends corrective action. Work includes technical responsibility for a major phase or component of a project.
Acts as a lead role for a team of ES&H specialists and/or support personnel
WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS
Typical construction environment with associated hazards, occasional lifting to 10kgs and routine lifting to 22kgs, kneeling, standing, grasping, and walking, routinely sitting with occasional use of computer and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines and possess planning/organizing skills.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and outside weather conditions.
The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT
It is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. The employee will require a Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Department of Defence Security Clearance (Australian) or TS/SCI (U.S.) clearance w/ Poly.

EHS REQUIREMENT
All Amentum personnel are responsible for understanding and complying with all site environmental, health and safety requirements.
