Responsible for managing operation of test facility where testing and failure analysis of automotive components is conducted

  • Manage physical site including coordination and direction of UAW skilled trades to ensure building standards are met per city, state and OSHA requirements

  • Oversee HVAC operation, facility maintenance and waste management resulting in a safe and healthy day-to-day work environment

  • Purchase laboratory supplies and consumables, track receipt of goods and distribute shipments so that staff has necessary materials to perform work

  • Manage and reconcile annual budget for corporate VISA purchases

  • Point-of-contact for and main interface with multiple levels of employees – executive leaders, managers, laboratory engineers, skilled trades, vendors, suppliers, IT – to create seamless operation within the facility  

  • Manage office automation, seating, phone and printer requirements for facility

  • Conduct daily safety walks and document compliance tracking log; participate on building safety committee

  • Assist with quotations for new business generating additional revenue for the facility

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Administration or Science Degree in a related discipline. Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience.

  • Project Management experience preferred

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Open to be mentored, coached, and trained

  • Strong focus and attention to detail

  • Self-motivated and self-driven

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
