Amentum is seeking a Field Engineer to support contract efforts in Groton, CT.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Advises customer on requirements for products and services, support equipment and electronic equipment installations.

• Review and process changes to SWFTS Undocking Paperwork for all SWFTS docking events.

• Review and provide feedback of SWFTS TI/APB life cycle upgrades all Classes of Submarines.

• Review and process the end of installation certification for SWFTS systems.

• Review and comment on weekly readiness meetings in support of SIIMO in-house planning team, OSICs and SIIMO Management Team.

• Work with the Quality team to provide Objective Quality Evidence when required.

• Support with Memorandum of Agreement writing and routing when required.

• Weekly remote interface with NIWC and Amentum personnel at ST J’s Annex Portsmouth VA   

• Weekly remote interface with NAVSEA Shipyards irt to SWFTS TI/APB upgrades

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have an active Secret US Government security clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a Secret security clearance

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Five (5) years of practical experience or HS Diploma and Thirteen (13) years of equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as NIWC On-Site Installation Coordinator (OSIC)

Compensation:

The minimum starting annual salary for this position is $93,000. Factors which may affect starting pay may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
