About the Opportunity  
We are looking for a HR People Operations Partner to provide a high quality and effective HR Generalist service to the Amentum site delivery team based at Sellafield, covering all areas of HR delivery including, employee relations,  industrial relations (with support from Industrial Relations Manager), trade union engagement, onboarding, performance management and pastoral care.

The HR People Operations Partner provides first line HR advice to Amentum managers and staff based on the Sellafield site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Amentum managers advising and coaching on all Amentum HR issues including workforce planning, disciplinary and grievance, performance management, absence management, compensation and benefits, mobilisation and demobilisation etc.

  • Building and retaining an understanding of the project people policies and processes and how they interact with the Amentum HR policies and processes.

  • Responsible for communication to Amentum staff of Amentum HR policies, procedures & processes. Facilitate understanding and use of Amentum HR policies and processes.

  • Develop efficient and effective working relationships with the Sellafield projects management and their teams, including joint venture partners where they exist.

  • Build and maintain relationship with Amentum Industrial Relations Manager to ensure compliance with National Working Agreements for craft workforce.

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Trade Union officials/stewards and reps including attendance at regular meetings.

  • Regular attendance is required at the Sellafield site to ensure effective working relationships with Supervisors/ People Leaders along with face-to-face support for Craft employees based on site.  

  • Attendance at base office location may be required from time to time also.

Requirements

  • Experience of supporting a diverse team, preferably in a large infrastructure Project or Programme Environment.

  • Capable of handling simultaneous requests for support.

  • Experience of working in a HR role, advising on people issues in a multi-disciplinary and unionised environment, including a significant Craft workforce.

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with trade unions.

This is a hybrid role with regular attendance required to the Sellafield site.
