Purpose: Performs a variety of professional/administrative Human Resources (HR) functions in areas such as employment, benefits, HRIS, training and development or employee relations.  Provides effective HR support ensuring all employees are paid correctly, on time and that all related HR matters are addressed promptly. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and handle the day-to-day HR functional tasks for the program.
  • Maintain position requirements for the contract. 
  • Coordinate mobilization and demobilization efforts.
  • Coordinate with recruiting to ensure staffing targets are met
  • Conduct onboarding and new hire training.
  • Assist new hire with onboarding tasks.
  • Coordinate with Payroll, Time & Labor, and other HR partners to resolve employee pay and benefit issues. 
  • Prepare position descriptions.
  • Distribute and update information pertaining to assigned HR function.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and other company practices and management directives. 
  • Processes personnel actions.
  • Prepares and/or oversees preparation of complex statistical reports and summaries.
  • Provide guidance to various levels of employees regarding company policies and procedures for assigned Human Resources function.
  • Ensures that DBA claims are filed timely.
  • Ensures strict compliance to safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.
  • Adheres to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System.
  • Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 5 years of Human Resources job-related work experience or equivalent.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have good written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications.
  • Ability to conduct and capture information from an employee relations investigation.
  • Experience working in a Human Resources Management System.
  • Must have organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform detail-oriented work.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments, work with little supervision and work well under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
  • Experience in “Workday” highly desired
  • International driver’s license prior to deployment preferred.

Certification, License & Clearance:

  • Valid US Driver’s license required.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a CAC, if required.

Facility credentials/authorization required:

Must be able to obtain and maintain facility and credential /authorization:

Note- US Citizenship is required for facility credential/authorization at this work location.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

  • Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
  • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
  • When performing work, responsible for adhering to environmental, safety, and health standards related to the activity, including the wearing of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
