  • This is primarily a 1st shift position that supports a 24/7 operation; scheduled work hours may vary based on critical business demand.

As the HVAC IV Technician, your daily duties for this role will include:

  • Providing a high level of expertise in performing preventive and corrective maintenance to a wide variety of industrial or commercial facility HVAC equipment.
  • Identifying and correcting any safety-related issues and performing independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. 
  • Operating, maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing ventilation equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, rooftop AHU’s, split systems, compressors, refrigeration, and other mechanical equipment as needed.
  • Utilizing the building automation system to track building conditions and the operation of facilities equipment.
  • Utilizing strong mechanical and electrical skills in order to complete assignments.
  • Performing preventive maintenance on HVAC control and operating systems as scheduled from a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Responding and providing service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards.
  • Performing the functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, and wearing PPE as required. 
  • Operating various measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions.
  • Complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Maintaining a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by Management or Lead.

As the HVAC Technician, you will be expected to:

Min Requirements

  • High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience as an HVAC/R maintenance technician in industrial and/or commercial environments or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and air-conditioning skills are required, as well as the ability to work safely with 3-phase power up to and including 480V.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical circuits ranging from 24V AC/DC and up.
  • Ability to obtain site specific security access including all applicable background checks.
  • Ability to work overtime, holidays, various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
  • Ability to obtain an appropriate driver's license issued by the State Department  Motor Vehicles, as requested.
  • Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.

Some physical/special requirements include: 

  • Regularly lift to 50 lbs 
  • Regularly climb ladders, steps, and scaffolding 
  • Repetitive motions: bend, stoop, squat, kneel, stretch, reach, wrist movement 
  • Work at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions 
  • Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding 
  • Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed. 
  • Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment. 

Preferred

  • EPA Universal certification.
  • Experience with electrical (480 volt 3 phase and below).
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (Honeywell and Siemens).
  • Experience with DX Split Systems.
  • Experience with Package Systems.
  • Experience with a CMMS program and Microsoft Office.

       

Compensation Details:

35.00-37.00
